night portraits

Shooting portraits at night is a demanding task as you have to cope with two different light situations at a time, i.e. shooting the model and catching enough ambient light from the background. Slow sync flash is the solution allowing you to freeze the model using flash light and collecting city lights through long exposure time. Moreover, white balance and light temperature is an issue, since flash light often is cooler than the surrounding light. Here is what I came up with. And thanks to Mary for a great shooting.
